West Side Story

Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th March 2018

This epic New York love story based on Romeo and Juliet boasts one of the finest scores in Musical Theatre with songs such as 'America', 'Maria' and 'Tonight'.  Two rival gangs, the Sharks and the Jets are engaged in a turf war in 1960s New York while the founder of the Jets, Tony falls in love with youngest Shark, Maria.  What follows is an exciting, dramatic and ultimately tragic story with some brilliant song and dance numbers along the way.

We are looking for talented young singers and actors to play Tony, Maria, Anita and Bernardo as well as the rest of the Jets and Sharks.  This is also a brilliant show for any dancers out there to come and showcase your talents.

BMOS is a friendly society that has been running for over 100 years.  With a recent influx of younger talent we are now looking for young talented performers to be our next generation of leading ladies and men.  Previous cast members have gone on to train at top drama schools including Mountview and East 15, whilst many others like to come on Monday and Thursday nights to have fun in a relaxed, friendly environment.  We also run regular social events and members can often be found together even on non rehearsal nights enjoying a movie night or a glass of prosecco or two!

Second auditions for West Side Story are happening on Sunday 17th September from 5pm until 7pm.  For more information go to http://WestSideStory.org.uk and choose 'Register'
