The home of BMOS online, the best place to discover more information about the society and our future plans.
We have a long, rich, and varied history; Beaconsfield Operatic Society, as it was known originally, was formed in 1910. Since then we have performed many productions and concerts - details can be found on our Past Productions and About pages.
Trial By Jury and In Flanders Fields
We are presenting a double bill concert at Davenies School on Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd October 2016
Trial By Jury, written by Gilbert and Sullivan in 1875, recounts a lively court case involving a jilted-at-the-altar-bride, Angelina, and her court case against defendant, Edwin - her intended groom with a roving eye.
Throw in a judge more interested in the abandoned bride, a varied court including staff, bridesmaids, jury and the public, and we will bring to life one of G&S' finest short operettas, for the first time since the mid 1990s.
In Flanders Fields is our commemoration of 100 years since the first world war.
Put together by Katie Nightingale and Emma Whitehead, this
BMOS will again be taking part in Beaconsfield's annual Festival of Lights in mid-December.
Beaconsfield New Town is the location of this vibrant local event.
During November, we will be rehearsing the carols and music to be performed on the night.
If you enjoy a good sing, and want to join us, why not come along to the Curzon Centre on a Monday or Thursday evening from 8pm to 10pm.
Rehearsal dates will be available on the Calendars on this site, so just check beforehand that we are rehearsing that evening.
Alternatively use the Contact Us beforehand if you have any questions.
We have booked the dates - The Curzon Centre - Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th March 2017
